So Much to Do, So Little Time!
So Much to Do, So Little Time!
This time of year can be unbelievably challenging because there is so
much going on over just a few weeks, including parties, gifts to buy,
holiday cards to send out, thank-you notes for gifts received, and much
more.
Taking a well organized approach to the holiday season
can pay big dividends in terms of reducing stress as well as giving you
more time to, dare we say, relax.
Try these suggestions:
Organize your decorations.
If you've ever searched through the
attic, opening up a bunch of different unmarked boxes trying to find
your holiday lights, candles, bulbs and other decorations, you could
probably save yourself some grief by labeling the outside of the boxes
clearly.
Organize your party schedule.
For example, maybe you've been
invited to 6 parties this year and you want to make sure not to miss any
of them. Do not rely on your memory, jot the dates and the times down on
your calendar or in your appointment book as soon as the invitations
arrive.
Organize your holiday recipes.
Are you planning on making that
scrumptious holiday pie that everyone loves or that special fish and
vegetables dish? Instead of haphazardly storing your seasonal recipes in
a drawer, consider writing them down on index cards and then neatly
organizing the cards in specially designed boxes. Index Card Boxes are a
good choice. Also, you could organize your cards in Index Card Binders.
Another possibility is to use Oxford® Poly Spiral Index Cards with
Dividers. Spiral binding will keep all your holiday recipes together in
booklet form, and, the adjustable tab dividers will allow you to look-up
individual recipes with fingertip ease.
Organize your thank-you notes.
It can be difficult to
remember who gave you what, especially if you receive many gifts. As
gifts are being opened by you and your family, keep a list nearby and
quickly jot down the information ensuring that the thank-you notes you
send are accurate.
